Rites of Passage for Women in Midlife
This work is designed to reclaim and honor women’s rites of passage, specifically the transition from Maiden to Mother—not just in the literal sense of motherhood, but as a profound initiation into the mature feminine.
In a culture that lacks initiation rituals for women in midlife, many find themselves stuck in the wounded Maiden, unsure how to fully step into their power.
Through deeply grounded teachings, meditation, storytelling, and somatic practices, you are invited to explore the feminine archetypes, confront your thresholds, and root into your deep, resourced wisdom. This journey is about unlocking wholeness, embodiment, and connection with oneself, others, and the earth.

Annie Bird is a women’s rites of passage guide, awakening to this work alongside two decades of work in global peace, security, human rights, and social justice. Through her studies with Sarah Durham Wilson, Annie midwives women from the wounded, patriarchalized feminine across the threshold into the archetypal Mother—the embodiment of the mature feminine. Annie’s work is deeply rooted in breath, body, and Earth wisdom, guiding women to reclaim their initiatory rites and step into their fullest expression.
